My Requests

The My Requests page lets you track your project submissions from initial request through quote approval.

Understanding Project Requests

When you create a new project in MyStudio, it starts as a project request. This request goes to your production team who will review it and send you a quote. Once you approve the quote, it becomes an active project.

Accessing My Requests

Click My Requests in the sidebar to see all your project requests.

Request Statuses

Your requests move through these stages:

Quote SentProduction team has sent a quote for your approval
ApprovedYou approved the quote - project will begin
RejectedQuote was declined
WithdrawnYou cancelled the request
ArchivedOld request, no longer active

Viewing Your Requests

Request List

The main view shows all your requests with:

  • Project name
  • Video type
  • Current status
  • Submission date
  • Quote amount (if applicable)

Filtering

Filter requests by:

  • Status (Pending, Quote Sent, Approved, etc.)
  • Date range
  • Video type

Sorting

Sort by:

  • Newest first
  • Oldest first
  • By status

Request Details

Click on any request to see its full details:

Project Information

  • Project name and description
  • Video type and specifications
  • Formats and duration requested
  • Production requirements
  • Filming and delivery dates
  • Attached files

Quote Section

When a quote is sent, you'll see:

  • Quote PDF document
  • Total amount
  • Line items breakdown
  • Quote validity date
  • Approve and Request Changes buttons

Receiving a Quote

When the production team sends a quote:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. The request status changes to "Quote Sent"
  3. A notification appears in your dashboard

Reviewing the Quote

  1. Go to My Requests
  2. Click on the request with the quote
  3. Review the quote document (PDF)
  4. Check the pricing and scope

Approving a Quote

If you're satisfied with the quote:

  1. Click Approve Quote
  2. Review the confirmation dialog
  3. Confirm your approval

What Happens After Approval

  • Request status changes to "Approved"
  • Production team is notified
  • Project is created and work begins
  • You may receive a deposit invoice

Requesting Changes

If you need the quote adjusted:

  1. Click Request Changes
  2. Provide specific feedback:
    • What needs to change
    • Your preferred alternative
    • Budget constraints (if applicable)
  3. Submit your request

The production team will review your feedback and send a revised quote.

Withdrawing a Request

If you no longer need the project:

  1. Open the request
  2. Click Withdraw Request
  3. Optionally provide a reason
  4. Confirm withdrawal

WARNING

Withdrawn requests cannot be reactivated. You'll need to create a new request if you change your mind.

Notifications

You'll be notified when:

  • Your request is received (confirmation)
  • A quote is ready for review
  • Quote revisions are sent
  • Request status changes

Configure notification preferences in Settings > Notifications.

Tips for Faster Quotes

Be Detailed

The more information you provide upfront, the faster and more accurate the quote will be.

Include References

Attach example videos or reference materials to help communicate your vision.

Set Realistic Timelines

Allow adequate time for production, especially for complex projects.

Common Questions

How long until I receive a quote?

Typically 1-3 business days, depending on project complexity.

Can I edit my request after submitting?

Contact your production team to discuss any changes needed.

What if I don't agree with the quote?

Use "Request Changes" to discuss modifications. The team will work with you to find a solution.

Can I have multiple requests at once?

Yes, you can submit multiple project requests. Each is tracked independently.
